It holds creative manifestations of individual neural, medical, physical, sensorial and societal experience which challenge perceptions of disability and neurodiversity.”

Medical and neuroscience research papers & books were used as the base of the website structure & layout.

The library for example loosely follows the concept of ‘mental time travel’ and it’s contents are organised by time rather than topic or name.

Usability tests spread throughout the project helped to highlight existing issues and areas in need of improvement.

Accessibility isn’t an afterthought. Locked World was designed and build with inclusion and accessibility as a main contributor throughout all design and development decisions.

Locked World includes a broad spectrum of sensory experiences – ambient sound, video, interactive animation, spoken descriptions, still images and written text, just to name a few.
