A night for Denis

We had the privilege of working with the Denis Law Legacy Trust on their annual fundraising dinner in Aberdeen — a particularly poignant evening marking the first event since Denis Law’s passing.

Held at The Marcliffe Hotel and Spa, the event brought together supporters, partners and friends of the Trust to celebrate Denis’ life and legacy, while raising vital funds for its youth programmes. The evening featured a headline appearance from Ruud van Nistelrooy, alongside a Q&A session and contributions from football figures including Gary Neville. Sir Alex Ferguson was also in attendance.

Over the same weekend, Ruud also visited the Denis Law Legacy Trail, connecting directly with the story of Denis’ early life in Aberdeen and the impact the Trust continues to make across the city.

Beyond the on-stage moments, the night included a series of fundraising activities — from auction prizes to rare memorabilia — all supporting programmes such as Streetsport, Club 10 and the Denis Law Academy, which together are set to engage over 30,000 young people across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire in 2025.

We worked closely with the Trust to create a unique printed booklet for the evening — something designed not just to inform, but to be kept. Given the significance of the occasion we delivered a piece that reflected both the tone of the event and Denis’ legacy.

Alongside this, we produced a limited-edition print featuring an excerpt from the poem, Last King of Scotland, presented to each guest in a hand-tied envelope as a keepsake. The aim was to create something personal and lasting.

“Fine Day delivered an outstanding fundraising keepsake for Denis Law Legacy Trust. Their creativity, attention to detail, and ability to capture our mission made the event truly memorable. Their professionalism and passion helps us engage supporters and raise vital funds for our work.”
Mark Williams, Chief Operating Officer

We’re proud to have contributed to such a meaningful evening and look forward to continuing our relationship with the Trust.
