We have been celebrating after the successful launch of a new collaborative project with V&A Dundee as part of their latest exhibition: ‘Night Fever: Designing Club Culture’. As one of a handful of Scottish companies to be approached and commissioned to design an exclusive range of merchandise for the exhibition we were so excited to get stuck into a dream project.

The exhibition, which is now open for visitors at V&A Dundee, explores the relationship between club culture and design from the 1960s to present day, and its far-reaching influence on popular culture. The merchandise we created has been inspired by the exhibition’s core themes and produced as part of our very own online store – ‘Disco and Coffee’.

We started Disco and Coffee as a side project to experiment and learn new skills – but more on that later…

Designing a product range for Night Fever is the perfect fit for Disco and Coffee, and a dream project for all of us. We’ve taken our ethos of simple, accessible design and combined it with the magic and sparkle of the dance floor to create a collection, which includes a series of typographic prints, enamel pins, and a one-off V&A Dundee tote.

It’s been a turbulent time for the nightlife industry over the course of the pandemic so we’re immensely proud to be part of V&A Dundee’s brilliant spotlight on all things design-related to club culture. With restrictions now starting to ease, we’re planning future events and workshops as part of our commitment to support the vibrant creative community up here in the North East of Scotland.
