Over the past few months we’ve had the pleasure of working with Aberdeen Performing Arts (APA) on a few projects — including Stepping in Space, the virtual recreation of The Music Hall entrance exhibition.
The latest project in our partnership with APA has been to join over a dozen other collaborators to help with this year’s Christmas production – Reid Robin’s Christmas Bosies – a digital advent calendar of festive treats being posted on APA’s social media in the run up to Christmas.
We teamed up with local animator Zoe Buyers to create the 13 videos for the project. Each video is introduced by Reid Robin — a little Doric-speaking robin voiced by famous Aberdonian, Joyce Falconer. Reid Robin is a cheery, generous little bird and it was an absolute pleasure bringing her to life, making sure her big personality was visually represented.
Each day, Reid Robin opens a door on the advent calendar to reveal a special performance from a diverse line up of entertainers.
We’re grateful to have been able to help support Aberdeen Performing Arts to put on something special for Christmas this year. It’s been a tough year for all of us, but the arts have suffered a lot. So it’s been particularly warming to see our friends at APA band together such a talented bunch of creatives to make sure that some much needed festive cheer is put out in to the world.
Follow Aberdeen Performing Arts on Instagram and the rest of their social media to see what Reid Robin finds over the next few weeks.
